The 24th International
Exhibition-Fair AGRO 2012, the largest and most important Ukrainian trade fair for agriculture,
was held from September 5 to 8 on the territory of the of the National Complex "ExpoCenter of Ukraine" in Kiev.
The exhibition was opened by the Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych and the Minister of
Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
At the opening ceremony of the "Agro-2012" President Viktor Yanukovych said that Ukrainian agricultural sector shows positive growth rates. "Agricultural sector in our country is one of the cornerstones of the economy, the guarantee of stability and confidence in future," – the head of state said. - "... Ukrainian agrarian is a careful farmer, who is able to work, to introduce new technologies and to produce high-quality products."
The opening ceremony was attended by the state leaders, members of the Government, the people's deputies of Ukraine, and foreign delegations.
The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Strategic guidelines for the development of the agricultural sector by 2020" was held under the chairmanship of the Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk on September 5.
In the frame of AGRO
2012 were held the 11th specialized
exhibition of animal industries and veterinary
medicine "Animal'EX", the 9th
exhibition of horse breeding and equestrian sport
"EquiWorld", the 7th specialized
exhibition "MushroomExpo", the
6th specialized exhibition for fish farming and
fishery "FishExpo", the 5th
specialized exhibition for alternative and renewable
energy "BioFuel", the 4th special exposition of farming machinery
manufactured by the companies of the Ministry of Industrial
Policy of Ukraine
The Specialized Exhibition for Automation, Management, GPS and GIS Technology "Hi-Tech AGRO 2013" was organised at the AGRO for
the first time.
1,522 companies,
associations and research institutes presented
the latest innovations, products and technologies
in the field of agricultural machinery, plant
production, livestock breeding, bioenergy and alternative energy.
Beside the Ukrainian exhibitors, over 200 foreign companies
from 18 countries took part in AGRO 2012.
At the end of the 4-days fair the exhibitors were
unanimous in reporting an extremely high number
of promising contacts and successful deals concluded.
The exhibition attracted 121,220
visitors from 33 countries.
More than 50 conferences,
seminars and meetings of agricultural
themes were presented by Ukrainian and foreign
ministries, committees, embassies, associations
and companies during the AGRO 2012.
This exhibition is recognized to be the biggest
and most prestigious nation-wide event in agrarian sector
of economy of Ukraine.

There are about 50000 farms and agricultural enterprises
in Ukraine which is one of the largest agricultural
producers in the world, and renowned as “The
World’s Granary”. At present, small

Himagromarketing - AGRO report

machte einen hochwertigen Eindruck und konnte

Eine Fortführung dieses Konzepts ist
empfehlenswert. Die Landwirtschaft der Ukraine
hat aufgrund ihrer natürlichen Voraussetzung
ein enormes Potential. Auch langfristig
wird die Ukraine ein interessanter Absatzmarkt
für Agrartechnik, landwirtschaftliche
